Description:
Solution-focused play therapy (SFPT) is a strengths-based theoretical approach to play therapy. SFPT helps children work through challenges by identifying and building on internal assets and external resources. In this interactive workshop we will explore the foundations and key concepts of SFPT with a focus on children ages 3 to 5. Participants will learn how to apply the 12 basic skills with young children and see examples SFPT in action. Throughout this presentation we will discuss developmental considerations for nondirective and directive play. Join us to learn more about the magic of strengths-based play!
